Want to say that 'art is not a game' but now it's in quotes because anything can a game just as much as anything can be art. And with that flexibility in mind one can and should have a choice to not participate in something they feel and believe does not work for them.

When I said “I don’t see any point in that,” I meant that I don’t see any purpose in getting involved in the “rodeo game.” I consider myself an artist, and for me, stepping into that feels like “undermining” what I do. Each of my photographs is a fragment of my soul. I tend to be very selective with everything I mint, and placing any of my pieces there feels like throwing it away, stripping it of the value it holds for me. I respect those who do it, but it doesn’t align with who I am or how I think.

Do believe understood your meaning but still good that you expanded on it. One can end up inferring many things from a few words. My response was to make a point that the article shared with you some minutes ago makes, that there is a way this does make sense if one is interested in going that route. For myself when it started it was not the frenzy it has become now. Prefer to try things before dismissing them outright.

I think everything has gone off the rails now, and honestly, I believe that in some time, no one will even remember this. These are just phases. I read the article, and it makes sense, but let’s be clear: most people are not seeing it that way, and for me, the biggest problem is the new people entering the space who see art pieces being sold like that. These new people won’t distinguish whether they are stickers or 1/1s. Honestly, I think we’re burying ourselves.
