I think it’s not news to anyone that teams distribute tokens to themselves through drops. ZkSync went the furthest in this matter. But, unlike the above team, the blockchain is transparent and “remembers” everything. Let's analyze DeFiLama data on TVL on the ZkSync network.

It was for liquidity that this project gave out crazy allocations of 100k tokens, although this is a L2 blockchain, and not a liquid (re)staking protocol. November 19, 23 - TVL 106m USD November 23, 23 - TVL 150m USD. In 4 days, the liquidity of the network increased by more than 40% - by 44 million.

Looks pretty suspicious, right? Go ahead. January 9, 24 - TVL 167m USD January 10, 24 - TVL 127m USD 40 million of liquidity was withdrawn in one day. As much as it came in November, almost as much went out in January. Could this be a coincidence? Hardly.

The team, insiders, funds and others involved in this scam contributed 40 million in liquidity to a large number of wallets, which, according to known criteria, received abnormally high allocations (10k-100k). Conventionally, these could be 4,000 wallets with a balance of $10,000 each,

2,376,152,343 ZK tokens were divided among 62,335 wallets. This is 11.3% of Total Supply. Or 916,993,109 ZK tokens were divided among 9203 wallets. This is 4.3% of Total Supply, for 9.2k wallets. Let me remind you that Stark gave away 5% of the total supply for 500k wallets.
