my favorite thing about 'curb your enthusiasm' and the reason it's gold imo is how Larry just goes about questioning social norms, and then you start realising how absurd and made up many normalised 'rules' are.

I think it's a directionally solid move. If you have big consumer ambitions, just building a browser isn't going to get you there. The average person doesn't give much thought to their choice of browser; they’re locked into whatever they use based on distribution (Chrome <> Android, Safari <> Apple etc.) Arc is a product suited for tinkerers.
