The Lamproptera meges or white dragontail is a remarkable butterfly native to Vietnam. It’s small and transparent wings are relatively small requiring it to flap them fast like a dragonfly to stay afloat. Doing so causes their long tails to undulate beautifully. GLOWING CITY: SLAVA SEMEIUTA’S CITY IN BRIGHT ORANGE. Russian artist Slava Semeiuta offers a different take on Soshi, through his captivating series of photographs. Using digital color enhancement techniques, Semeiuta transforms ordinary modern buildings into glowing structures covered in a vibrant orange hue. This creative manipulation of color creates an atmosphere that is both familiar and alien, inviting us to experience Soshi in a way we have never seen before. It is as if the city itself has been reimagined in a neon dream, offering a fresh perspective on architecture and urban design. Semeiuta’s work stands out not only for its striking visual appeal, but also for its ability to evoke a sense of wonder and curiosity. The vibrant orange hues give an almost surreal quality to everyday buildings, making them appear as if they were part of an imaginative sci-fi setting.

The pair of cattle that wins the An Giang races are considered a good omen; thus victorious animals will not be slaughtered or sold off. Rather, these "champions" will be kept by villagers as prideful assets of the hamlet and carefully taken care of to compete in the next race. Photo by Nguyễn Đặng Việt Cường (@ndvietcuong)
