The more I listen to Steely Dan the more I realize they’re the ultimate Trojan Horse band. Played at every American socialites party in the 70s and 80s despite their lyrics taking a shot at the dark side of American consumerism. Taking a cryptic shot at fans of their music is pretty badass if you ask me.
