it seems op is not from the West but also was directing those comments more so at rap, which is unfortunately one of the most popular types of Western music and their read of the most common content and sentiment within rap music lyrics is accurate

“The only message in west music” is pretty self explanatory to me. Bad take and a gross over generalization. Wrt to rap music, that’s been the painfully obvious message for the last 25 yrs. Labels have been pushing it because it sells, this isn’t a profound insight lol
