Once a car (#block) is added to the train (blockchain), it’s locked in place and cannot be changed. The train keeps moving forward, adding new cars (blocks) as more information is added.

The best part? Everyone can see the train (blockchain) and the order of it's cars (blocks), but no one can tamper with it. Each block tracks who did what, and when, creating an unchangeable record of events.

It’s like a shared digital diary; transparent for everyone to verify, but impossible to rewrite!

So, how does it work❔

For data to be stored, it must be validated first. That’s where #miners come in.

Miners solve complex puzzles to approve transactions, making sure everything is legit. In return, they earn rewards based on the blockchain they’re working on; Bitcoin miners earn #BTC, Ethereum miners earn #ETH, and so on. This process is called Proof-of-Work (PoW).⚡

PoW requires miners to use powerful computers to perform calculations that verify transactions. The more miners there are, the more secure and #decentralized the network becomes.

There’s also Proof-of-Stake (PoS), where validators (instead of miners) approve transactions based on how much #cryptocurrency they hold. PoS is more energy-efficient, but both methods keep the blockchain secure.

In decentralized blockchains, there’s no CEO or central authority calling the shots. Instead, the network relies on its participants; miners (in PoW) or validators (in PoS) to work together and keep things running smoothly.
