Hi, Iā€™m Victoria Enebeli! Life has thrown its fair share of challenges my way, but Iā€™ve turned every setback into a setup for a comeback. In 2021, I decided to go all-in on crypto/web3, and wow, what a ride itā€™s been! Iā€™ve worked with amazing organizations like Zuri Team, Mara, Web3Ladies, Lu Team, VCD studio and supported thriving DeFi and NFT communities. Along the way, my dedication as a blockchain advocate got me the Polygon Labs advocate role. Today, Iā€™m proud to be a full-time community manager and researcher at BABs, making waves in the #Web3 space. But wait, thereā€™s more! I co-founded LearnOnChain (https://x.com/onchainlearn), a learning platform on @base, because Iā€™m passionate about educating and empowering others in the #blockchain world. And 2025? Oh, itā€™s going to be epic! Think big wins, bold moves, and a whole lot of growth. Stay tuned, my journey is just getting started!

WTF is Degeningā” šŸ™‚ā€ā†”ļø Imagine a game where you can win big, lose big, and everything moves at lightning speed. Thatā€™s degening in Web3! A ā€œDegenā€ is a trader who jumps into highly speculative investments with little to no research. Known for extreme risk tolerance, degens thrive in volatile markets, constantly chasing trends like decentralized finance (DeFi) and non-fungible tokens (NFTs). The term ā€œdegenā€ comes from ā€œdegenerate,ā€ originally used to describe reckless gamblers. In crypto, it refers to those diving into high-risk assets like meme coins, NFTs, and DeFi projects hoping for quick profits. Itā€™s not about playing it safe; itā€™s about spotting early opportunities, making risky plays, and sometimes gambling purely on hype.

KOLs Uncovered! Do they matter? The Truth About KOL Marketing! Imagine you just got a new toy and want everyone at your school to know how cool it is. But thereā€™s a problem; no one is paying attention. Now, think about that one super popular kid in school! The one everyone listens to. If they say, ā€œThis toy is awesome!ā€ Suddenly, everyone wants it. That kid is like a KOL: a Key Opinion Leader. A KOL is someone people trust, listen to, and follow. They can be famous YouTubers, Twitter (X) influencers, crypto traders, or even NFT collectors. In Web3, KOLs help spread the word about new crypto projects, NFTs, and blockchain technology.

As a UI/UX Designer, you can contribute a great deal to the mainstream adoption of Web3! When designing for decentralized applications (dApps), ask yourself these critical questions: ā†’ Will my non-tech friend be able to use this and understand everything? ā†’ Will they need to know a lot about Web3 before they can use this application? ā†’ Can they complete an action in just a few clicks? ā†’ Does the process feel like magic, or does it feel like work? It is important that you minimize technical jargon. For an NFT app, for example, instead of ā€œsign transaction,ā€ why not use ā€œbuyā€? The point is; donā€™t overwhelm users with complex blockchain terms. Donā€™t assume they know everything about Web3. Focus on seamless interactions by reducing friction in the userā€™s journey. At the end of the day, Web3 is already complex; your job is to make it feel simple, intuitive, and effortless.

What is a BANK RUN? And does it happen in DeFiā” A bank run occurs when many customers withdraw their funds from a bank due to concerns about the bank's insolvency or bankruptcy. Bank runs can happen in DeFi (Decentralized Finance), but they manifest differently compared to traditional finance due to the decentralized and transparent nature of blockchain systems. How Bank Runs Happen in DeFi A bank run occurs when too many users withdraw their funds simultaneously due to fear that a platform will become insolvent. In DeFi, this can happen when: ā†’ Liquidity Crises If users rush to withdraw funds from a lending platform or liquidity pool and there arenā€™t enough assets available, the system can collapse. ā†’ Smart Contract Exploits If a protocol is hacked, users may panic and withdraw funds, causing a liquidity drain. ā†’ Stablecoin Depegging If a stablecoin loses its peg (e.g Terraā€™s UST crash in 2022), users may rapidly exit, leading to a collapse.

What is FDV (Fully Diluted Valuation) and how can it improve your investment decisionsā” Understanding FDV can help you avoid risky investments and identify potential opportunities in the crypto market. Letā€™s break it down in the simplest way possible. What is FDV? (Fully Diluted Valuation) Imagine you own a pizza shop. Right now, youā€™ve only made 2 pizzas, but you have enough ingredients to make 10 pizzas in total. If each pizza sells for $10, then ā†’ The current value of your shop (based on the 2 pizzas made) = $20 (2 Ɨ $10). ā†’ But if you made all 10 pizzas and sold them for $10 each, your shop would be worth $100. FDV works the same way in crypto. It represents the total value of a cryptocurrency if all its tokens were in circulation at the current price. FDV = Current Token Price Ɨ Total Supply ā†’ Example If a coin costs $1 and Total Supply is 1 billion coins then FDV = $1 billion ($1 Ɨ 1B)

When a potential employer visits your profile, what do you think catches their attention first? Is your page clearly showcasing your skills, personal brand, and the kind of opportunities youā€™re looking for? Take a moment to refine your profile; make it clear, compelling, and aligned with your goals. Opportunities are out there, but employers need to instantly see that youā€™re the right fit!

What Are AI Agents and what it means in web3ā” Imagine you have a super-smart robot helper that can think, learn, and do tasks for you; thatā€™s an AI agent! AI agents are like invisible assistants that work on their own to solve problems, make decisions, and complete tasks without needing you to guide them every second.

What is AUM, and Why Do VCs Talk About Itā” When you hear Venture Capital (VC) firms talk about AUM (Assets Under Management), theyā€™re referring to the total amount of capital they manage, not the total value of the startups they invest in. Letā€™s break it down simply. ā†“ How VCs Work Think of a VC firm like a chef who wants to open a restaurant. The chef doesnā€™t have enough money to buy ingredients or hire staff, so they go to big investors (LPs ā€“ Limited Partners) and say: ā€œGive me money, and Iā€™ll use it to cook amazing meals (invest in startups). When the restaurant makes a profit (when startups grow and succeed), youā€™ll also get a share of the earnings.ā€ These big investors (LPs) could be pension funds, wealthy individuals, or institutions. The total money they give to the VC firm to manage is whatā€™s called #AUM.

What are ETFs (Exchange-Traded Fund)ā” Imagine you have a big basket filled with different kinds of candy; chocolates, gummies, and lollipops. Instead of buying just one type, you get a mix of everything. An Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF) is like that candy basket, but instead of sweets, it holds different types of investments like stocks, gold, or even cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH). When you buy an ETF, you get a small piece of everything inside the basket, making it easier and safer to invest in multiple things at once. And just like you can buy or sell a toy in a store anytime, ETFs can be bought or sold on the stock market throughout the day.

When youā€™re nearing the end of a long task, those final few minutes can feel like pure torture. Itā€™s like the pressure doubles, I start feeling suffocated, desperate to stand up and walk away. But no matter how badly I want to quit, I know I just have to push through and finish the damn thing!šŸ˜¤

Many people have driven valuable connections away with constant, unnecessary billing. Someone you should be building a strong relationship with for growth and opportunities now avoids your calls/text because all they associate you with is asking for money. Itā€™s time to switch things up this year. Stop chasing fish; learn how to fish instead! šŸ¤

What is LP? LP stands for Liquidity Provider. Itā€™s like being the person who brings snacks to a party; without you, thereā€™s not much fun (or in this case, trading). In #DeFi, people trade cryptocurrencies on something called a decentralized exchange (DEX), like Uniswap or SushiSwap. To make these trades possible, DEXs need liquidity, which is like a pool of money (or crypto). Thatā€™s where you come in as a Liquidity Provider. How Does it Work? ā‘“ You Add Crypto to a Pool Imagine a pool filled with two types of crypto, like ETH (Ethereum) and USDC (a stablecoin). You put equal amounts of both into this pool. ā†’ For example: 1 ETH + $2,000 USDC ā‘µ Traders Use the Pool Traders swap between these two cryptos using the pool you helped fill ā‘¶ You Earn Rewards In return for helping out, you get ā†’ A small share of the trading fees every time someone uses the pool. ā†’ Maybe even extra rewards in tokens from the platform.
