Theres’s a certain vibe captured in Severance that is strangely comforting. Part of it is the retro vibe and not being quite sure of time period. There’s apparently modern text messages, but the computers and cars have late 80s vibes. The thing about that time is that when you were in a place, you were THERE and information was limited. Slightly more trapped, but undistracted. So fitting to the theme.
