We're days away from our 2nd baby :) 

if all goes well it's going to be a home birth; we have a great doula who's suggested we print our birth plan, so (obviously) I designed one - much easier to skim than a wall of text

It's just a Figma file for now (link below); can anyone help turn this into a gdoc template?

It was a home birth (ask away); it was getting late, so our doula suggested she take a bath. It did the trick — called doula & midwives, started setting up the pool but didn't even get to use it because baby was out 30' after the midwives got here

30 minute home birth, wow! what was a non-negotiable for agreeing to do this instead of a hospital birth?

my wife gave birth to our first and only child in a hospital. the transfer wasn't terrible, but the delivery was a pain. they extended her labor unnecessarily due to untrained staff. 

to clarify my question: what was one thing you would not negotiate on when choosing home birth vs hospital birth. and it sounded like it was safety for you. i wonder if you could be more specific. what could potentially be unsafe about a home birth?

I guess if you count from the beginning of the build-up it was more like 3 hours, but quick for sure

I'm not sure I understand the question, but we wanted a home birth unless circumstances meant hospital was safer, which is a minority % (we would not have pushed back in that case) 

Could talk about this a lot, but TLDR the transfer itself and the environment will increase your stress levels so much that labour will be harder by default
