Missed opportunity to call it a warp whistle. Hopefully someone has done this.

Hey bosses, I don’t have a memecoin project nor do I want to “cooperate” with one.

Yes. So the pattern is, generally plausible looking resumes with 6-8 years experience at companies that seem plausible in random American cities. I.e usually not NYC/SF or Seattle. The one who put uber on his resume was easy to spot because I know loads of people who worked there during that era.

Reading from an AI script, very clearly calling from a dated camera in a room full of other people, LinkedIn looking sketchy and fake American names (Tanner Davis etc), Korean accent while claiming to be living in Virginia and having no knowledge of the place when pressed.

Holy fuck, I’ve had 3 North Korean/Chinese hackers apply for jobs with plausible resumes. It’s really obvious when they get on a call. Stay safe out there founders. @mikedemarais.eth now I know what you were talking about.

I'm very proud to share that my latest venture, StepChange.work, has announced $4M in seed funding from a stellar group of investors, including Kindred Ventures, The General Partnership, Ritual Capital and Liquid 2 Ventures. Niall O'Higgins and I were inspired to start StepChange after our experience working at Coinbase, where we watched observability costs across the industry skyrocket. We decided there had to be a better way and have been hard at work over the last year, leveraging our team’s collective experience to help engineering teams boost their performance without crushing costs or manual troubleshooting. Today, in addition to our seed funding, we’re also announcing APX: a turnkey SaaS product that leverages generative AI to automatically detect, diagnose, and fix performance issues. To learn more about APX and our funding, head on over to the StepChange blog via the link the in comments. Also, we are hiring, if you want to come build the future of performance engineering, DM me

If anyone in my network is looking for a fully remote full-stack Next.js gig, reply or DM me. We’re hiring a senior to staff-level engineer to work on a really cool AI infrastructure product. Only hiring in the USA or adjacent time zones (not EU/India).
