AI won’t replace SaaS for the same reason Excel hasn’t replaced enterprise software, someone has to care about the details. Edge cases, security, compliance, access controls, and support at critical moments are why enterprise contracts get signed. AI can generate code, but it can’t own the problem.

No. The original post was in response to the claim that LLMs would be able to clone complex SaaS applications by logging into them.

You’re moving the goal posts of the argument. Most SaaS are very simple and don’t require any of those things.
