Honestly, WHY? There are a million ways to host a website, and this just seems like a giant waste of time. Can someone enlighten me to the benefit of this?

I think this is a cool ‘hello world’ demo for a developer building on BlueSkys AT Protocol. Article covers hosting on a PDS. Social apps have two content types: records (structured data like posts) and blobs (media like images). On Bluesky, blobs are uploaded to a PDS, then referenced in records.
