On ETH L1, of the TVL in AMMs, only 1/3rd is used. For lending and borrowing protocols, it’s usually 30-40% of TVL. If you include “looping”, probably close to 50%.

Kobe and Michael used to show up night in night out, despite the toll it took on their bodies. They would say that people spent their hard earned money to come watch them. I am twice bitten, but 3rd time lucky with co founders. Konrad is a better human than he is a CTO. And he’s an absolute genius. When people come together with shared interest, passion, complimentary skills and no ego. It’s magic. I’ve had to find out the hard way that it’s equally derailing to have a bad co founder. (I avoid friends/family as co founders like the plague 😂)

You have to be maximally intellectually honest. It’s very likely that you are not the best or omnipotent. Quicker you accept that, quicker you are to start surrounding yourself with people smarter than you. This is, and should be binary.

Hmmm this is a really cool question. Of all the investments I have made, venture is my least favourite one 😂 But I will try. The main thing I look for is the itch. Does the founder feel like they’re restless if they don’t at least give this a shot? Is it a violent obsession? Are they going to do this with or without me? Do I think they will keep tinkering aggressively with or without capital? Even if the premise/idea would not be my favourite, indefatigable founders tend to find a way.
