I aggressively agree with this. Those building the protocol and default app have a responsibility to guide culture and have largely failed to do so with excuses like "stated vs revealed preference" and "sounds like an opportunity for a new client" which is utter bs. Do better.

1. not refuse any (good, non-growth hacky) marketing efforts 2. discourage the place turning into a casino (it's not that bad but has the potential) 3. there has been some attempt at listening to users complaints but not enough or listening to the wrong users 4. less focus on only hiring devs at this point (at least devs who don't also understand culture 5. it's a social protocol, find ways to use it that heavily encourage more connection, we humans need it from a better social app 6. heavily de-rank clear use of botting - we all know why they're doing it 7. stop being oblivious to the obvious by being blinded by the tech 8. incentivise higher quality creators by giving them resources they need to grow from the start because new people spend weeks casting into a void and churn these may not be perfect or what the team wants to hear but I'm here every day still because I made friends here.

I think what I mean to say is that the weight of teams like base and the like put pressure on insentivising builders when, as Dan has alluded to recently, the focus of all with funding should now shift to creators

this applies to much of crypto not just FC. I mean people (creators) have been begging for more fun, more excitement and less focus on how the tech changes the world for a while but builders don't seem to listen. instead creating protocols or apps that facilitate extraction, not just financial extraction but emotional and mental as well. web2 apps are worse at this but WC is just a copy of web2 UI without the option for distribution/virality for new or underfollowed creators so that's how it feels to new people, especially creators I've seen talk at length about it. there's a reason why I and others follow so few accounts. I've spent months in small chats listening to and talking with people who have issues with FC but can't be heard or bothered to get someone's attention. all said in love, obviously I wouldn't still be here as one of the only apps I use daily if I didn't see massive potential
