I know that warpcast has settings for push notifications, but I want to be able to receive in app notifications for X, Y & Z and only receive push notifications for Z. If that makes sense?

You should already be able to do that. Check Settings > Notifications in Warpcast.

That's for "push notifications" in general. What I'm looking for is a way to set some notifs to in-app only and other to in-app + push. Like you can do on twitter. Example: I want to receive push notifications for direct casts only. But I still want in-app notifs for things like "new followers", reply to my cast, etc

ah, I see. many options have an entry in both "Push" and "In-App," but not everything.

Yes that's true. And it would be great to either have the option for each entry, or do like twitter where everything is a push notification. But then you can disable the actual android notifications per entry/category. That would allow the user to have a silent notification for likes and replies for example, and have a classic notification for DC's. Or whatever other settings Android notifications can customise
