FC actions enable better tipping systems:

- Real time balance/allowance updates
- Reliable timestamps & accounting
- No storage cost for "100 $TOKEN" replies
- Better foundation for concepts like delegation

Existing emergent systems are very impressive given past constraints. But we can do better. (Working on it!)

Yes, this is an incentive that might weigh against adoption. But I think it's still possible to make them usefully public for those who care. One person's "prosocial" is another's "performative."

I hope we can find ways for actions to support this, like sending notifications or writing state to hubs.

Frames + cast actions built on top of your DB + webhooks

Yeah eventually  just having a tab like NFTs or a number next to your name/profile that only you can see would be so helpful. having to go around to find a frame to click to figure it out wastes a lot of time too.

I think the biggest hurdle currently with real tokens is having people "approve" an amount ahead of time.   I DO think this is the future but making an easy (and trusted) UI is key IMHO for approvals to empower transfers.

I never thought about the storage cost, but it is huge. We are also preparing to propose the better tipping. Is any interest?

Another benefit of tip actions is that not only do they reduce the reply spam to tip, it also reduced visibility of tipping causing tip seeking replyguys to flood the thread.
