I imagine Farcaster is still pretty illegible from the outside, both culturally and technically. But that won't last long if there's value to extract. We live in interesting times.

People make money here. Grifters come and go. People who get it will stay through the ups and the downs and quickly sus out who is here just to make a quick buck and disappear.

I guess it depends on what people actually consider a "value to extract". To me, it's having engaging conversations about topics I like. I left X because my reach was 0 even though I had like 1000 followers. Here I can talk about software development exclusively, and even back then when I used to develop frames and farcaster stuff engagement was exclusively about very specific topics, so I stopped posting here too ๐ bsky has great engagement so far about all kinds of topics and in my mother language. Hope that lasts, and also hope that farcaster can reach that level of engagement at some point. ๐๐ฝ
