During my astronomy trip this month, I was waylaid by a Girl Scout troop and bought a box of Thin Mints. But this Thin Mint was unusual: not smooth and silky, but lumpy and dull. Turns out production is a duopoly, with two firms baking in a franchising situation.

This map shows distribution by baking company. As an Arizona dirtbag, quondam Chicagoan, and now NYC coastal libtard, I was always on LBB turf.

Official mints sold in Canada contain a thin coat of liquidish mint. Further flavour, by my calculation.
