I surely have some wallet Stockholm syndrome, but I find highly abstracted wallet UX *less* friendly in many ways. Is that spinner doing something onchain in the background? Will tapping that button send a tx? What contract am I calling? What calldata am I sending? I hope your app tells me because I can't tell!

External wallets have many drawbacks, but some nice properties: you can inspect requests, cancel them, and simulate results. Your wallet is usually your friend, but the app might not be.

I would love to use a more transparent and useful wallet, what wallet do you use daily? A wallet that doesn't treat me like a child (or look like it's designed for children) but rather helps me understand more would be great.

Yeah wallets aren’t one-size-fits-all - for certain use cases / user bases, external wallets like rainbow are deff best. Some apps are best served by presenting both side-by-side But if you want to cater to crypto newcomers / improve in-app UX, embedded wallets are 🎯 (and the dev chooses how much to abstract!)

I agree, but the issue here is that you are a native (I am perhaps an ex-pat) but for visitors the talk of txns and gas are like Babylonian banter. Foreign and scary. Remember when browsers used to display the calls and handshakes on the bottom frame? Eventually it became β€˜loading..’ then we end up trusting the companies over ourselves and suddenly the frog is boiled etc etc

they could have a way to look for details because all the time it's slow af and you're surely wondering because in all other web2 apps it takes less than a second always

Casted some related thoughts on this What's your opinion on EIP-7702? Do you think this resolves a lot of the root problems here or do you think too much abstraction will lead to undesirable outcomes? https://warpcast.com/ba/0xa67d90ad
