Zero is not nothing, in fact it is quite an important something. Nothing however is nothing.

Zero was a mathematical concept that was rejected and negative numbers were once seen as useless and even evil. Zero did not exists as a concept at the birth of christ and so the millennium didn’t start for the religious until 1001/2001. The concept of nothing doesn’t exist in ancient languages and it’s arguable the first sentence of the Bible is an mis interpretation as there was no concept of a beginning. Zero is definitely something - progress. Nothing is nothing.

I’ve always said nothing is something… how can nothing be nothing, nothing has to be something right?? By saying "nothing is something," i’m pointing out that even the idea of "nothing" has a presence in our thoughts and language. In a way, "nothing" can only exist as an idea—a mental construct—because in reality, it’s the absence of anything tangible. Also Zero is the math of nothing; nothingness is the philosophy of zero it reminds us that absence can be as meaningful as presence.
