Donald Trump was nearly shot twice The incident occurred on September 15 (local time) while he was playing golf at his golf course in West Palm Beach, Florida. Law enforcement officials said US Secret Service agents discovered and opened fire on a gunman in the bushes near the golf course boundary. The man was holding an AK-47-style rifle. The New York Times and Fox News cited security sources identifying the suspect as Ryan Wesley Routh, 58, of Hawaii.
