Trump calls on FBI to intervene as citizens upset over cuts, vandalize, attack Tesla cars

The attacks on Tesla infrastructure come after billionaire Elon Musk, the owner of the electric car company, was appointed by President Donald Trump to lead the Office of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

The Trump administration has cut tens of thousands of jobs through a DOGE-led plan to reform the federal apparatus and save money, which has led to many people speaking out against or expressing dissatisfaction.

In a press conference last month, Elon Musk asserted that what DOGE is doing is "reasonable" and "not cruel or extreme". He admitted that DOGE may make mistakes in the process of carrying out its mission, but will "correct quickly".
