when funding new wallets, having to distinguish between L1 ETH and Base ETH is totally unacceptable UX. let’s get this abstraction pattern over and done with.

The best UX fix would be wallet-native gas abstraction, where wallets automatically detect, bridge, and convert ETH for users without manual action. This can be achieved through: Account Abstraction (AA) wallets Relayer gas sponsorship for first transactions
