Maybe global-south nations who will be most hit by climate change will start threatening to do this unilaterally; even if other techniques are ultimately better, perhaps they need the push to get to the finish line

I love the tech but I worry about unintended consequences with things like this.

I am all about leave no trace earth wise, I just don't know if prescriptive solutions are the answer. Especially in areas where there could be some causation fallacies.
