Okay, I take it back. React can be hard I will admit, but it’s never in a cool way that makes you feel like you learned something or improved yourself. Advanced math is GOOD hard. Running a mile in 5 minutes is GOOD hard. React is more a proxy for real life in that it reflects that to get where you want in this world it often means accommodating a bunch of crusty faceless men’s bad opinions about how things have to be done. This is the nicest thing i can say about it Anyway I’m here

agreed, react is complicated in a bad way. not satisfying at all, even though I understand how it works (sorta).

complicated in a good way: things you learn reveal some universal truths that are applicable to many other things outside of the niche complicated in a bad way: memorizing weird nuances that are just side effects of bad decisions of someone in the past, little application outside of this niche

You should learn it though just because a lot of stuff is made on it and it’s good basics for the modern web. If you get good it will enable you to work with lots of people and things
