Doing something you don't enjoy - in 90% of cases - is -EV (your subconscious already knows that and tries to inform you through a lack of motivation, enjoyment, etc. - but you have to be careful not to mistake what YOU enjoy(being productive, learning something new, working out, eating healthy, going to bed early and waking up early, watching a movie, reading a book, helping your friends, etc.) with what enjoys YOUR ancient brain (being lazy, eating sugar, having sex, watching stupid content, etc.)). Even when you do what YOU WHOLEHEARTEDLY enjoy without any material benefits, it's still +EV - because you've spent your time on the most productive endeavor of all: being happy.

But let's take a broader look at this issue. Staying in a country on the brink of war is -EV . Even if the probability of such event is 1% - it's still not worth the risk. Staying in contact with people who only take from you and who you wouldn't mind to never see in your life again is -EV. Not choosing to be the best version of yourself today is -EV.

Don't gamble. But what is gambling? Gambling is participating in an activity with -EV. Obviously, it's not just about casinos. Buying & holding shitcoins (even during a bull market) is -EV in comparison to buying & holding an "index" (BTC/ETH/SOL, and other blue chips). Farming airdrops by burning your time and money without even a rough understanding of whether your EV is positive or negative, is also -EV more often than not.

We no longer see web3 projects as products released by for-profit companies, funded by investors hoping to make a return, and run by twentysomethings who are often making things up as they go along. We’re instead quick to idolize these digital doodads as a signifier of progress and a harbinger of a new world.

I just wanna thank anyone who came up with the email login option. The reason I stayed off @warpcast for the last month was that I got logged off, and the thought of typing those stupid 24 words into my phone just to log in on my PC was too painful.

Do you realize how fucked up our lives are, that the price of some vaporware over which we have no control whatsoever determines us? The price goes down - I'm stupid, I'm a failure, I will never achieve anything, should not have been born in the first place. The price goes up - I'm a genius, I was born a winner, I can achieve anything. What an insane way to live. Our self esteem should be derived from our own achievements, and should not depend on Brownian motion.
