📢All current $ETH borrowers on Spark will be eligible for a part of the 225 $wstETH provided by @lidofinance. Note, if you're a @sparkdotfi user at DFS, you can already claim any wstETH accrued from this or the previous Lido incentives program with Spark. Classifying types of oracles. I think everything fits into 3 categories: -Market Price (ex. ETH, BTC, WBTC) -Fixed (ex. WBTC, USDC, DAI, USDe, EURe) -Yielding Fixed (wstETH, sDAI, sUSDe) Everything can have a market price, but only pegged assets can belong to the second two.

💯 All idle cash should earn at least the RFR right up to the moment you use it. Excited to make this happen!

There seems to be some broader pessimism about what actual use cases are. To me, it is very simple: 8% interest (or whatever DSR pays) and instant, more or less free, worldwide $ transfers. As long as those two things are not available to anyone in the world, there is a very easy use case to build towards.

Yes well that's a whole other issue. I have serious concerns about fiat too, but if I have to choose between propping up the dollar vs letting it collapse I choose the former. I understand that there are no good choices.

To me it's a different product. Liquidity guarantees are a spectrum and sDAI sits in a practical middleground between high liquidity and maximum yield. The uniqueness comes from yield opps within DeFi. Maker can derisk these yields and forward to users. At the very least the RFR should go to users.

On Ethereum there are only two assets that matter across L2s/sidechains: ETH and USD (+ derivatives) Liquidity fragmentation is only a problem in the abstract as yield-bearing issuers can automate settlement in the backend. Crosschain intent protocols should keep this in mind.

DAI started as being backed entirely by ETH which by your definition is a lending protocol. More recently backed by USDC and cash-like instruments. This happened in 2020 so what is the new development?

What's the difference? Stablecoins and lending are the same thing. It's just a question of how strong your liquidity guarantees are.
