U.S. Department of Justice Seizes Crypto from Hamas U.S. authorities have uncovered (source) a cryptocurrency-based financing scheme used by Hamas, leading to the seizure of over $200,000 USDT collected through 17 addresses in encrypted chats. Since October 2024, the group had laundered more than $1.5 million through exchanges and brokers. The Department of Justice stated that blocking these funds has weakened Hamas' financial capabilities.
