Do people actually consciously make a judgement about quality of service when they tip??!

I always just mindlessly add 15-20%. So the whole "tipping incentivizes quality of service" argument has always seemed unrealistic to me.

This really depends on where in the US at sit down restaurant or for ride sharing its a by service if its just average 15 to 20. If bad 0 if good to very good 25 to 50. Coming from someone that has worked in both industries at different points of life! 👍🏽
