Well yeah but this is also difficult because politics is really increasingly becoming a reality TV show that has very little relevance to real life other than rising fuel prices So next is to keep in mind just honoring the values and principles that help humanity in some way (this is also a huge convo, and subjective)

Yeah I agree this is different to socialism - this is a fairly scary reality, private corporations take all our data and then govts have access to it ? Hmmmmmmm Govts in their current state always have our best interests at heart right?

Oof this is a big take but yes I also agree But that’s also a narrative with today’s tech environments, what if there was a world in the future where truly government was intended to provide wellbeing resources and humanitarian resources such as hospitals, fire fighting and the such And then private companies could focus on life improvement functionality such as the distribution of wealth (and energy production is a really good measure / application here) That would be a fairly utopian vision for the future

Here’s my comment without typos Right but are we dependent on a centralized source of control over this ? Sounds like a few groups of people have decided this is important and are working or not Okay for profit is also fine in my eyes, and volume is also fine, i think the important thing is to look at the impact on the mass population

Absolutely not, and this is why a more socialist system is probably best for the people than raw capitalism or raw communism

If there’s a world where everyone can produce their own energy, store it, use it and sell it And install that infra at a responsible / subsidized cost We would solve a lot of social issues that exist today

I think this is a difficult situation because - How would the price of everything come down without there being a decrease in fiat in circulation? Likewise How would the price of everything stay the same while the circulation of fiat increases ?

The concept of bringing us to that stage is interesting What if someone can feel they are living the lifestyle of being a billionaire without being a billionaire ?

Regardless of what brings us to that state - if everyone has “a billion” it is the same as what we have now with people saying they “have nothing”

Follow up - I said “problem” but what is “problem” ? If it’s redistribution of wealth then idk, if you’re a billionaire and you’ve worked hard for your billions why feel obliged to give it away? If problem is defined as low philanthropic percentage among billionaires I would feel comfortable calling it a problem But is that the case ? Idk, what percentage of billionaires are contributing a significant percentage of their wealth to philanthropic causes that are actually making an impact ? Idk

What defines everyone? Everyone as in your social circle? Reproducing the problem Everyone as in the entire world? One billion becomes the same as 0 now Both outcomes : no change from current reality
