I think they just released that! A landscape-like page would be ideal, but FC doesn't seem to have any idea how to do safe app sandboxing other than central curation. Landscape is prob a lot less fun if every app is just a photo reel

New experiment for Frames. Mint this token, get a self-hosted image gallery served from a Vaporware ship. https://zora.co/collect/zora:0x7d6f986b5febecdd5dcdf68e13f1908e37718768?referrer=0xE0593A4adC52Ff98603c5Bd5BAA054C2ECC3BB42

Oh! Cause I'm being dumb lol. Thought you minted one of the new ones! The main Appliance is just a token. This one spawns a new node and lets you login: https://zora.co/collect/zora:0x7d6f986b5febecdd5dcdf68e13f1908e37718768

Let me know if you have problems with login. You can access the app at: your_eth_address.testnet2.vaporware.network

Go to: your_eth_address.testnet2.vaporware.network (You can normally copy your address directly from your wallet) Then connect your wallet and login.

From a FE perspective, you could think about it as a decentralized Supabase. The closest existing technologies are library OSs (e.g. unikernel frameworks) or exo-kernels.

Absolutely! Mint this NFT and we boot a "personal server" for you. It only lets you login b/c it knows which ETH address owns it. We have a small demo app installed that lets you upload images then serve them in a Frame.

Ok, we're testing a new demo of minting a Vaporware ship! When you mint, we create a new Plunder VM, seed it with your pub ETH address, then serve you a Frames image uploader. Mint a self-hosted Frames backend at: https://zora.co/collect/zora:0x7d6f986b5febecdd5dcdf68e13f1908e37718768

Urbit Groups are very stable on average. So few Groups share the same host that one Group going down doesn't tend to impact others. Forcing channel mods to run a Hub might be hard rn, but if there was additional functionality for doing so, I bet a lot of ppl would consider it.

I know you and Dan are familiar with Urbit, so I'm curious why you didn't choose a more heavily sharded Hub design from the outset? Urbit shards the network by channel (called a Group). A group host is generally a dedicated node, tho some people use their daily driver. Despite being WAY less performant than Hubs...
