Why is the neo-pagan aesthetic so close to being islamic? The love of cats, nature and modesty. No iconography or idols either. 

Did you come from a christian protestant background? Thats the only reason I can think of the lack of iconography.

Part of it is that it's a Midjourney rendering and that leans towards the Western monastic aesthetic when I use "nun" in a prompt.  So it's not so much Islamic as it is the Christian-inspired nun head coverings and habits.

The cats comes from that being part of my life - I run a small cat sanctuary in my home, fostering and rehoming strays and abandoned litters of kittens.

My background is very wandering - early Christian, many years identifying as pagan, and now a contemplative mystic sorceress drawing on early Christian monastic traditions in my daily practices, without the dogma of scripture.
