if channels ever gets decentralised it needs a sort of renting system where you pay rent as a % of total worth and that worth being the price you'd be happy for someone to immediately take it off you.

Harberger tax is an inherent capture vector, assuming the owner isn't the richest person in the world.

yeah but channels as communities mean they have more social value than their price. having someone richer swoop in and buy a channel doesnt fit with the model izo

it would be very interesting watching two communities battle it out for that asset or if there were a split within a community, who could swoop out the IP. There are a few additional ways you could make it more interesting.

pure harberger allows someone with money and no attachment to the existing community to swipe the channel, which isnt ideal obv. as for internal conflict, i actually think the best model might be a channel as a dao with an ai 'owner' could be the best model, so disputes could be managed thru governance
