What happened to the Umbreon? Honestly I was working on it with haste at the time….. Which caused a few issues 1. The glue I used didn’t work well causing gaps in between the pieces. 2. My sanding job was horrible 3. I was becoming irritated with the project. So I took a break from it This time I will be welding the parts together with a soldering iron. Projected complete time : Dec 21st. There will be no rush with completion

3D Printed Umbreon Project Used way to much filler on the first layer, lots of sanding to be done still. Placed 2nd layer of filler for the legs and tail. Now I’ll wait 24hrs till cure. Decided on to do the head separately then add on when it’s ready for primer. Will work on it tomorrow Still some imperfections but I think it’s going to come out great

Used about 10 rolls of filament (plastic) but had a few parts reprinted so altogether about $140 - $160 But I still have to sand, fill, sand and paint Total will be around $200 not counting my hours of work.

3D Print UMBREON project update Woke up to spaghetti for the 2nd time πŸ™ƒ Restarted the print for the 3rd attempt around 3 am and this time I cut the bigger hind legs in half. Still failed. 11:40 am and the 4th attempt is being started. This time I cut all the legs in half and cut the printing down to two separate plates. Hopefully this time it works

Oh wow, my way to dense than. I just accepted that this was supposed to be more than 25% but I see what you’re saying. It’s heavy and thick. That’s what my problem was for one of the legs when printing. It keep getting top heavy and would fall over. Thanks for the recommendation/advice. This is my 6th ever print. First more than 24 hr print
