Abu Musa Jaber bin Hayyan (100 AD 721 AD - 194 AD 815 AD) was an Iranian scientist, alchemist and philosopher [10][4][5][6]. He was one of the members of Dar al-Hikma and one of the translators of the translation movement. He has been called the father of chemistry and many methods (such as distillation) and various basic tools of chemistry such as calabash and flask are attributed to him.[11]
