"The story of Layla and Majnun"
There is a legendary lover named Majnun (which means 'madman'), who is known for his true love. He was in love with Layla.
It is said that one day, Layla's tribe captured Majnun, intending to kill him because they would not give Layla to him, as he belonged to their enemy tribe.
Majnun said, 'Throw me in a gallows, do not kill me with a sword.' They asked why, and he replied, 'Because I am afraid Layla will be harmed!'
They said, 'You have truly gone mad. We want to kill you, not Layla.'
Majnun replied, 'I know that, but the blood of my veins carries the love of Layla, and my heart is the home of Layla's love. I fear the sharp sword that enters my body will harm her!'
Untill today, in West Asia, anyone who is truly in love is called 'Majnun!'
