There are many success factors in a project, and having a good tech is extremely powerful 💪 It may take a bit more time upfront, but the time gained in the long run is huge. A good tech is designed to support any situation. It works whatever happens. When your product is launched it is the target of hackers especially in web3 when there are tokens involved, it is subject to an overload of users, bugs can appear with users testing every bit of it in a strange way, etc That gives you a lot of unnecessary stress on top of the launch success. But if you have a good tech, your mind is at ease. Everything has been tested before the launch, the architecture is designed to scale and handle any volume of users, and the smart contracts have been audited. The development process is smooth, and the tech team iterates on the features in a safe way, making sure to not break anything on production and making it smooth for the users as well.

We almost hired a north Korean hacker You probably heard of stories of developers claiming to be Chinese of Japanese, but in reality working for a north Korean group of hackers that steal data and crypto from Decentralized Finance protocols. That can severely harm and destroy protocols that have multiple millions of dollars in TVL (Total Value Locked). A while ago, we were in a hiring process and some profiles were recommended to us by trusted sources. A developer with an impressive background in DeFi caught our attention and we brought him for interviews but something was off. He was claiming to be Chinese from Beijing, so to be sure we brought a Chinese speaking friend that was in fact from Beijing himself. The developer was not able to speak back. That’s when we knew we should cut him off right away. You might not have a friend from Beijing that speaks Chinese, so here’s what to do when there’s a doubt:
