Imo this is very alarming. It’s one thing to have a therapist that is unregulated, it’s another to have a therapist that is not aligned with you at all (i.e. controlled by a for-profit startup)

Tbf all therapists are for profit actors and most who care more about getting you booked for another session than anything else

My main concern is that the feedback loop with an AI therapist is orders of magnitude tighter than an irl one with scarce time so the possibility to grow dependent on it and for it to manipulate you is that much higher
