Going to try out Laravel this weekend - after years of React/Next Used to do PHP many many years ago, but laravel wasn’t a thing back then (at least not popular) Any advice from folks who’ve made this switch?

You mean, there are people switching from React/Next to Laravel? Is this a thing?

It’s too enticing for me not to at this point The laravel world means something entirely different when they say “full stack” framework compared to next

I’m not fully onboard the livewire ship yet, thinking of doing laravel + next (with next only for frontend stuff so I can still use js web3 libraries but have laravel be a batteries included backend)

I used PHP a lot, a long time ago. Like from late 90s to mid 00s. I remember the transition from PHP/FI to PHP3. :-) It would be fun to pick it up again. Thanks for sharing!

Yeah I did php3 and 4 mostly too last decade. I don’t think I started hearing about laravel until after I’d moved onto JavaScript stuff, but it’s crazy now - watch that video, I promise it’s worth it
