Why is the sky blue?

the sky appear blue to our eyes but it’s not blue for all species molecules and particles in the atmosphere scatter sunlight in all directions. blue light is scattered more than other colors because it travels as shorter and smaller waves learnt this in high school and never forgot about it lmao
