If anyone is wondering how I choose the art I cast about ... there is no rhyme or reason behind it. 🤣 I always used my profile as a personal diary of art that I liked and/or collected. 😆

I am just an artist and curator ( in irl and here)  but i collected maybe 550 pieces. this days hard for me bcs market is bad. If i be collector, definitely i can be more selective , this my honest opinion.

No focus on good art. no matter what style. photography, painting, gen-art, digital art, etc. I would also definitely look into the artist's background. Uniqe works or ordinary? I would look at this. Name fetishism is not important to me. Because art history is already full of name fetishism.

So your advice would be to specialize on a theme / style? Like focus collecting only abstract art? I feel this would immensely limit my enjoyment of collecting, but at the same time would probably increase the value of the whole collection over time. 🤔
