not taking it to heart, but it's true: watching everyone ghibli and score engagement while many of us continue to share things ~we actually made~ to little interest is painful. my mission always has been, and will remain trying to improve the "situation" for creatives. weird that the solution lies in game design.

I don't have the skills to generate some of the images 4o created for me this. So it was very exciting for me on what it enabled. With code — I can generally tell when something is written by AI with slop — and I am naively going to assume probably artists like you can tell when something is AI generated as well. Just as I don't think AI will replace programmers, I don't believe AI will replace artists. Unique skills will always have its place — but at the edges likely we lose mediocre participants on ecosystems to AI.

completely agree with you. I just build my first frame end to end bc of ai and it was thrilling. and don't get me wrong, there was indeed a creative spirit around ghibli day. it was more of a complaint about what people find interesting on socials, which is, of course, a useless complaint.
