my favourite coinbase story brian armstrong had a post that went viral on HN https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=3754664 he had gotten into YC as a solo founder but wanted to find a cofounder so he deferred he built the prototype over a year prior to this he spent an ENTIRE YEAR looking for the right person

Saying no to people is a super power. I remember a dating study, it ways maybe even talked about at Lex Fridman. At around date 37 you are not going to find better mates anymore on a statistical basis. So you should at least say no to around that time, unless you find the magic.

Honestly, I love the Coinbase story. Clear mission and values since the very beginning. 12 years in, still standing by them. Despite the 2012 crypto industry being, well, the 2012 crypto industry, Coinbase went full in on being user-friendly, secure and compliant w/ regulation. Kind of crazy, kind of amazing!
