Pippi Longstocking (1969) is a classic Swedish-German TV series directed by Olle Hellbom, based on Astrid Lindgren's beloved books. Inger Nilsson stars as Pippi, a quirky, independent, and super-strong girl with red braids who lives alone in Villa Villekulla with her horse, Lilla Gubben, and monkey, Mr. Nilsson. Pippi's boundless imagination and rebellious spirit captivate her friends Tommy (Pรคr Sundberg) and Annika (Maria Persson), siblings drawn to her adventurous and unconventional lifestyle. Together, they embark on playful and humorous escapades that challenge societal norms and celebrate childhood freedom, friendship, and individuality. The seriesโ€™ charm and timeless appeal have cemented its place as a cultural favorite.

Alright, for my perfect 90s movie night: Snacks: Cheetos for that cheesy goodness. Candy: Definitely M&Mโ€™s canโ€™t go wrong with chocolate! Movie: No contest, Home Alone! Kevinโ€™s tricks are the best!โ€

James Dean sitting in an open coffin at Huntโ€™s Furniture Store in Fairmount, Indiana, 1955. He would return to his hometown in a coffin just seven months later. Photographer Dennis Stock later recalled that day I had no idea he was going to do that, and Iโ€™d never have suggested he do such things. It frightened me, and I know it frightened him, too. In retrospect, I think his way of dealing with fear was to make fun of it, to taunt itโ€ฆI think we both knew that Jimmy would never come back home again and that life would never be the same for him there. The trip was really a nostalgic farewell to his origins, his way of saying goodbye to the past. I donโ€™t mean to imply that he felt he was going to die, but I believe that he felt that he was truly on the way to a far different life.
