Hot take: I strongly disagree with this. How "natural" something feels at first should have very little impact on your choice of tech. Fear of a learning curve causes a lot of long-term harm because those things that are easier at first get exponentially more difficult at scale.

Generally agree, but in this case the learning curve is to learn framework specific techniques that shouldn’t necessarily be framework-specific. Next.js is powerful and useful but I don’t think it’s unreasonable to reach for a tool that is more fundamental and less abstract.
