I’m confused on what to do? How does the betting of teams that aren’t playing each other work?

Ugh I just wrote up a big long thread and warpcast deleted it and didnt save it as a draft.... so im going to respond in a few different posts. First, feedback is very welcome - and if there is confusion its very helpful for me to know so I can help improve!!! thank you. Second, there are a few pages that cover the rules and how it works thats worth checking out. https://odds.fun/how-it-works https://odds.fun/rules

Then quickly to respond to your second question, just so I understand - are you asking to try to understand how the math works for making parlays on multiple teams? If so, heres a quick outline link below that covers the process of how that works. Basically you convert the American Odds for each bet into Decimal Odds, multiply them against eachother, then convert back to American Odds. https://chatgpt.com/c/6775fbdd-0e10-8005-a433-5db67dd6bcd4

As for helping clarify the first question of "what should I do"... - The first is to join a competition, one just started on dec 30th, and another is starting on jan 6. You can only join competitions that havent already begun. - As we get closer to jan 6, the odds will continue to get more expansive as bookmakers start releasing game odds. So you'll start to see the number of games you can bet on continue to expand. - Once you join the competition, everyone will have 1000 points. I'd start by making a few small bets to get a hang of it! - As the competition is ongoing, you'll start to want to make strategic decisions to try to climb the leaderboard.. - The jan 6 competition is going to be a "top 3" tournament, which means the top 3 people on the leaderboard get paid out. While the dec 30th event is a "winner takes all". cc @purp to help clarify anything also if you have any takes on this

Thanks for all this! The chatty link doesnt work unfortunately 😢 But yeah, I am mainly confused with betting on teams that arent playing each other. For example, the chargers vs ravens - they arent playing each other, so is it just whoever scores more points? I dont do sports betting often, so sorry if this is obvious
