I’ve done that before and worked well. Just would rather not pay $10/day for 6+ week trips if there are decent alternatives 😅

most European countries have sims available for €10-€20 for a week/month of unlimited data key is to have your main plan as an esim so you have space if it’s a physical sim

Ahh thats a good point - my hesitation with getting a local sim is not wanting a different phone number. But if my main plan is an esim than I assume I keep the same number?

its pretty seamless! you keep esim main plan for phone calls and just elect country specific (sim/esim) to be the plan used for data (assuming iPhone). No disruption
