why do street performers not use linktree? seems like the perfect demographic to have payments links, socials, etc. i usually see just one venmo qr code or a bunch of qr codes that fight for attention

My guess is that - linktree is mostly used where users only have one link they can display (on their profile); no link scarcity on the streets - it may be unclear to average people that it can lead to a social payment app - people who tip are looking for their app to move on - more qr codes = more scan targets

That’s fair! Though imo linktree isn’t awesome if you ever have plans to launch your own website. Would be far better to get a domain and add a links page with QR code

They simply do not know or haven’t thought of it, and nobody is doing anything to make them see how it can be of benefit to them. They do what they are familiar with. As you’ve thought of it, do you think there’s any way to raise awareness to them that they can?, probably not
