Focus on verbs, not nouns I am having much more success writing now that I _write every week_ instead of trying to have _a newsletter_ This is part of the reason why I am reluctant to have _a podcast_, even though I am excited by _talking to new people_ https://warpcast.com/markfishman/0x88017ecf Figure out what gives you energy and purpose, then focus on doing it for its own sake. Don't let the work evolve into a noun that distracts you from the verb. As @pmillerd puts it in his new book, you have to protect your Good Work.

Iāve honestly been contemplating moving to a writing focused view vs writing my weekly newsletter. Although I do enjoy the time constraints and the format I want to explore some ideas, but limited time with everything else. Idk where Iām going with this other than your post and where my brain is now, feels like I should try your approach for a bit š¤·āāļø

Would love to have you as part of /firstdraft! No constraints on where the writing is hosted (it can just be a cast like mine was this week) so the focus is on writing regularly instead of a specific output

Yup had the same thought. Could use it to keep me accountable instead of the pressure to deliver a product I just want to write āļø. Iāll join now!
